Licensing context
Guides on this desk are longer than a listicle and shorter than a code book. They exist so you can ask a better question before anyone opens a trench.
The hiring guide replaces the old “5 tips to hiring a sewer repair plumber” post. It tells you to check a NSW licence, to separate inspection from repair, and to describe access. It will not invent a reline price.
The hot water systems guide names the systems you actually see on the Coast: electric storage, gas storage, instantaneous, and solar-boosted. It pairs with the hot water service brief.
The blocked drains guide draws the line between a plunger and a camera. It pairs with blocked drains and with sandy streets such as Umina or clay streets such as Niagara Park.
Read them in that order if you are starting from zero. Read only the drain guide if water is already on the floor and you are deciding whether to keep pouring opener into the gully (please do not). Then open contact with the suburb and the symptom.
Why guides sit beside services
A service brief says what the work is. A guide says how to think before you pay for the work. The hiring guide is process. The hot water systems guide is typology. The blocked drains guide is a safety line. If you only have time for one, take hiring — it applies to every other page on the site.
Evergreen, not seasonal
We do not publish “spring specials” or “storm season deals.” Weather belongs in the sentence (“after an east-coast low”) without becoming a coupon. If you want a dated URL, the news index keeps three rewritten notes that point back here.

- How do I hire a sewer-repair plumber?
- Ask for a current NSW licence, a written scope that separates inspection from repair, and whether a camera is included. Start with the hiring guide — we do not invent a trench price.
